Fowler shortlisted for PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award | OneFootball

Mary Fowler has been nominated for February’s PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award.

The Australian, who has already picked up the Etihad Player of the Month prize for her exploits, was in stellar form across February in all competitions.

She kicked things off with two goals in a slender Barclays Women’s Super League defeat to Arsenal at the Joie Stadium, but was City’s hero just four days later as her brace at Meadow Park downed the Gunners in the League Cup semi-finals.

Fowler would then help the Blues to a 3-1 FA Cup win over Leicester City, before once again playing a central role in an emphatic triumph over Liverpool in the WSL.

Our number eight twice set up Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw in the first half to become the first player in WSL history to register at least two goal involvements in four consecutive matches.

She has provided more assists than any other player in the City squad so far this season (eight), while her ten goals are already her best across a single campaign in Blue.

This is also her second successive nomination for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award as her impressive start to 2025 continues apace.

Mary is up against Arsenal duo Mariona Caldentey and Frida Maanum, Manchester United pair Elisabeth Terland and Jayde Riviere, as well as Everton’s Kelly Gago on a six-player shortlist.
