Frankfurt line up Rennes striker as replacement for Manchester City target Marmoush | OneFootball

Sky Sport Germany transfer specialist Florian Plettenberg has today reported that Eintracht Frankfurt are looking at Rennes forward Arnaud Kalimuendo (23) as a candidate to replace Omar Marmoush, should the Egyptian striker make a move to Manchester City. The development of the Paris Saint-Germain youth product is reportedly highly regarded by the Bundesliga side, but the Frenchman is currently not on the top of their list of priorities to sign as a replacement for Marmoush.Foot Mercato reported yesterday that Manchester City were close to reaching a total agreement worth €80m with Frankfurt for Marmoush. The Premier League champions have reportedly already exchanged with the Bundesliga sensation.Kalimuendo has had a solid half-season for Rennes, playing 15 matches and scoring seven goals. He is reportedly admired by new Rouge et Noir boss Jorge Sampaoli. Last Friday the France U21 international reached 30 goals in a Rennes shirt with a goal against OGC Nice.
