Perennial Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have reignited their interest in Napoli loanee Victor Osimhen to reinforce their frontline. According to French news outlet RMC Sport, Les Parisiens have reached out to the Serie A powerhouse to gather information about the Nigeria international.

Osimhen’s future at Napoli is dead in the water. After failing to secure a permanent move in the summer, the 25-year-old joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan in September. However, it’s hard to expect the Turkish heavyweights to meet Aurelio De Laurentiis’ lofty demands.

The Napoli president asked for an eye-watering €100 million in the summer. Despite harboring a genuine interest in Osimhen and emerging as the frontrunners in the race to sign the former Lille star, PSG refused to match De Laurentiis’ lofty requests.

Luis Enrique’s side couldn’t land a new center-forward in the summer, even though Kylian Mbappe severed ties with the club to link up with Real Madrid. Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani have failed to live up to the billing in the first half of the 2024/25 season.

Therefore, PSG are back in the market for a new goal-getter, identifying Osimhen as an ideal solution for their scoring problems. A January approach is on the cards, but they’ll need consent from Napoli and Galatasaray.

In the meantime, Napoli are reportedly in the race to sign Manchester United misfit Joshua Zirkzee. In addition to the Partenopei, Juventus are in the mix as Thiago Motta searches for a high-profile alternative for Dusan Vlahovic.
