Juventus will not consider selling goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio for anything less than €60 million amid interest from Manchester City, as per a new report from Italy.
Di Gregorio has been linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium in the last few months ahead of a significant upcoming shakeup of Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad in the summer.
Ederson Moraes and Stefan Ortega Moreno have been linked with potential exits come the end of the season, with the former having received lucrative offers from the Saudi Pro League in the last 24 months.
Guardiola signed Ederson in 2017 and the Brazil international has since been a mainstay between the sticks for the reigning Premier League champions.
However, Ortega Moreno has been brought in several times this season after high-profile errors made by Ederson – which has put the latter’s future in Manchester in doubt ahead of a crossroads transfer window for Manchester City.
Hugo Viana, incoming sporting director, is likely to heavily back Guardiola in the transfer market and the four-in-a-row English champions could well witness a fresh name in goal at the start of the 2025-26 term.
As per Tutto Juve, whose information has been relayed by Sport Witness, Manchester City are keen to add Di Gregorio to their ranks in the summer as they look to rebuild a newlook side for Guardiola to get the Blues challenging on all fronts next season.
However, negotiations with Juventus are not expected to be plain sailing and the Italian giants are believed to have set a minimum €60 million asking price for the 27-year-old shotstopper.
Format talks are yet to be held between Manchester City and Juventus as it remains to be seen whether Di Gregorio could be tempted to a move to England after a fine season in net for the Old Lady.
Di Gregorio has four years left on his current deal at the Allianz Stadium but his head could be turned by Manchester City as he enters the prime years of his professional career.
