Granit Xhaka: "We should have won the game" | OneFootball

Bayer Leverkusen created plenty of chances against Bayern Munich on Saturday, but were unable to win the game, which ended in a 0-0 draw.

Granit Xhaka was proud of what he described as a " huge performance", but frustrated that Die Werkself couldn't convert their chances.

"If you look at the game over 90 minutes, it was a huge performance from us," Xhaka told Sky Germany (via 90 Plus).

“We had a lot of chances but we didn't score and that's disappointing in the end. We should have won.”

By failing to win, Leverkusen missed a golden opportunity to reduce the eight-point gap between themselves and league leaders Bayern at the top of the Bundesliga.

“We have to praise ourselves for the performance, it deserves a lot of respect. We don't care about the table at the moment," Xhaka stressed.
