Hansi Flick could not have asked for a better start to life at Barcelona. The German coach has already lifted two trophies, namely, the Spanish Super Cup and the Copa del Rey, and both wins came against their biggest rivals, Real Madrid.
With these victories, Flick has now won his first seven finals as a manager, beating the record set by Pep Guardiola during his early years at Barça.
Flick’s first title came with Bayern Munich back in the 2020 season. He guided Bayern to a 4-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB Pokal.
That same year, he went on to defeat PSG 1-0 in the Champions League final, Sevilla 2-1 in the European Super Cup, Borussia Dortmund 3-2 in the German Super Cup, and Tigres 1-0 in the Club World Cup.
Adding the two wins over Real Madrid with Barcelona, Flick now boasts a perfect record – seven finals, seven wins.

On the other hand, Pep Guardiola, who had an incredible spell at Barça, winning 14 of the 19 available titles, also started strong. His first major trophy was the Copa del Rey in the 2008/09 season.
That same season, he added the Champions League after a 2-0 win over Manchester United, the Spanish Super Cup, the European Super Cup with a 1-0 victory against Shakhtar Donetsk, and the Club World Cup.
Guardiola won his sixth straight final in 2010/11, but his run ended in the seventh final when Barça lost 0-1 to Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey.
If Flick keeps up this momentum, he could soon add another major title to his collection. Barcelona are currently just three matches away from lifting the Champions League trophy again.
If they beat Inter Milan in the semi-finals, they would face either Arsenal or PSG in the final. It is an exciting time for the Blaugrana, and under Flick, fans are starting to believe that more silverware could be just around the corner.
