Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Tuesday provided a fresh insight into the club’s plans between the posts moving forward.

This, of course, comes amid widespread speculation that Barcelona could soon dip into the market, to bring in a new free agent goalkeeper.

Blaugrana no.1 Marc-André ter Stegen was the victim of a serious injury over the weekend, picked up during his side’s La Liga meeting with Villarreal.

After being stretchered from the field of play in agony, the German international was later diagnosed with a complete rupture in the patella tendon in his right knee

Ter Stegen is expected to spend the rest of the season on the sidelines as a result.

So, just where do Barcelona stand on entering the market, to bring in a replacement for their stricken shot-stopper?

Speaking during a press conference ahead of his side’s upcoming meeting with Getafe, Hansi Flick was this afternoon drawn on precisely as much by the media.

And the German tactician went on to explain:

“Signing a goalkeeper? Iñaki is doing very well, he is a great professional. We trust him. We will discuss what we should do. We are comfortable with him. We don’t feel pressure.”
