City duo Yui Hasegawa and Kerolin Nicoli were both involved for their respective countries in the latest round of women’s international action.
Hasegawa started for Japan as the hosts shared the spoils in a 1-1 friendly draw against Colombia.
The midfielder figured for 70 minutes before making way in what proved an entertaining encounter in Osaka.
The South Americans opened the scoring 10 minutes before half-time when Karla Torres found the target, the goal coming just four minutes after Hinata Miyazawa had missed a spot-kick for Japan.
However, Japan kept pushing for a leveller and were awarded another penalty in the 93rd minute with Hana Takahashi making no mistake from the spot this time round.
Kerolin meanwhile was a second half substitute for Brazil who lost 2-0 to the United States in a friendly played in Los Angeles.
The City forward came on late in the second half of the clash staged at the SoFi Stadium
Trinity Rodman’s fifth minute effort had earlier opened the scoring for the hosts who then went on to seal victory thanks to a 66th minute penalty converted by Lindsay Heaps.
