Olivia Holdt’s superb free-kick away at Crystal Palace has been shortlisted for the January Goal of the Month by the Barclays Women’s Super League.

A late substitution in the second half in Sutton to make her first appearance in our colours since signing at the start of the month, the Denmark international certainly made an instant impact in the WSL.

In the fifth minute of stoppage time, with the game at 2-2, she curled home a free-kick from the edge of the box and into the top left corner, seeing off a second-half comeback from the Eagles.

Robert Vilahamn has also been nominated for January’s WSL Manager of the month after back-to-back wins in the month against Leicester City and Crystal Palace.

Bethany England is also up for the WSL Player of the Month award for February after netting two goals in two games in the month, with two superb headers in the 3-2 win over Crystal Palace last weekend.
