Kamil Grosicki has reacted in three words to Tim Walter and Hull City losing to Sheffield Wednesday at the MKM stadium.

Kamil Grosicki reacted as Sheffield Wednesday piled the pressure on Hull City and Tim Walter on Tuesday night after a 2-0 win at the MKM stadium.

Josh Windass netted Sheffield Wednesday's first penalty in over 18 months, setting them on course for victory against a struggling Hull side after referee Oliver Langford pointed to the spot at the MKM Stadium following Joao Pedro's foul on Shea Charles.

Windass calmly converted, scoring his fifth goal of the season, before substitute Michael Smith added a late second to secure Wednesday’s third win in six matches. It leaves Hull winless in nine games and facing further frustration as home fans called for Walter’s dismissal.

Sheffield Wednesday were the better team on the night, with Windass, Ike Ugbo, Djeidi Gassama, and Pol Valentin all coming close to scoring by exposing a Hull defence lacking confidence. However, the Tigers also had their moments, with Kasey Palmer firing two close attempts and Regan Slater forcing a fine save from Owls keeper James Beadle.

They could not find a way through and Liam Palmer's powerful run down the left led to a deep cross, which Anthony Musaba cushioned for Smith to finish neatly at the far post, adding the second and sealing the win to condemn Hull to another disappointing defeat in the 2024/25 season.

Kamil Grosicki's time at Hull, spanning from 2017 to 2020, saw the Polish winger become a key attacking piece in the Championship. He was known for his pace and crossing ability, which saw him contribute to both important goals and assists.

He scored 26 and assisted 27 in 123 games during his time in East Yorkshire, which helped Hull stay competitive in the Championship. His standout performances made him a fan favourite, especially during the 2018/19 season when he was a vital creative outlet in an attacking Hull side.

The 36-year-old is still going strong back in Poland with the club where his professional career began in Pogoń Szczecin, but he took the time last night to react to the defeat in a short post on X. He said: "it's really 😔"

Defeat ahead of Wednesday night's other Championship fixtures leaves Hull in an even more perilous position in the league table.

Hull and Tim Walter feel the pressure at the MKM

The Tigers found a sense of stability, continuity and steady progression under Liam Rosenior after he built positive and sustainable foundations during his first season at Hull by guiding the side to a respectable 15th-placed finish.

He was hugely popular among supporters and offered the first real breakthrough of the Ilicali era at Hull, and took that a step further last season after finishing just outside of the play-off places.

That is why it was a widely controversial decision at the time and, while high risk could well have ended up returning a high reward, it simply hasn't worked out for his successor.

Naturally, Hull were in huge transition during the summer and now have almost an entirely new squad from the side which was managed with Rosenior, with Walter bringing in a host of fresh faces to offset myriad departures including the exits of Jaden Philogene, Jacob Greaves, and Jean Michael Seri.

Having sacked Rosenior after narrowly missing out on a place in the top-six, another fight for promotion must surely have been the objective but, if anything, Hull are in genuine danger of relegation to League One at this moment in time.

They're winless in their last nine and are accordingly placed 22nd in the league standings following another bitterly disappointing defeat, with Sheffield Wednesday the beneficiaries on Tuesday night.
