It has been a difficult start to the season for Real Madrid in terms of injuries as they have seen a number of players get sidelined with physical problems.
One such player who is currently out of action is midfielder Dani Ceballos. The 28-year-old Spaniard suffered an ankle injury during the game against Real Betis earlier this month and has since missed three matches for Los Blancos.
It was suggested that the former Real Betis star would be out of action for at least two months, putting his potential return to action in the month of November.
But it appears that Ceballos’ recovery is progressing faster than anticipated.
Indeed, as reported by journalist Mario Cortegana, Ceballos is getting closer to making a return as he resumed training on the pitch earlier today.

The 28-year-old was spotted working individually along with a staff member during today’s training session on the touchlines while the rest of the squad prepared for tomorrow’s game against Deportivo Alaves.
While there is no indication about when Ceballos will return, him starting working on the field again is a big step in the right direction and it suggests that a comeback might not be very far away.
Prior to his injury, Ceballos had barely played for Real Madrid this season. The Spaniard has made only three appearances, clocking 71 minutes of action in total.
Despite his lack of minutes, Carlo Ancelotti is an admirer of the player and fought to keep him at the club in the summer amid exit rumours.
However, if his game-time does not improve, an exit in January could become a possibility with Real Betis and AC Milan interested.
