Nicolo Berti feels Inter Milan are “extraordinary” thanks to Simone Inzaghi and Beppe Marotta.

The former midfielder spoke to PrimaPaginaMazara, via FCInterNews. He hailed the Nerazzurri coach and President, as well as “world-class” midfielder Nicolo Barella.

Inter are now a club with a fairly settled hierarchy.

President Beppe Marotta has firmly established himself as the mastermind behind the scenes.

Marotta arrived from Juventus in 2018. And, along with Sporting Director Piero Ausilio, he has been the architect of the Nerazzurri squad.

Meanwhile, the man who gets the most out of the squad is former Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi.

Inzaghi had a tough task taking over from Antonio Conte in 2021.

But the 48-year-old has now surpassed his predecessor. He has really remade the team in his own image, and found the formula for winning trophies.

Berti: “Inter Extraordinary Thanks To Inzaghi & Marotta”

Legendary former Inter and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Berti feels that Inter are “Fantasitc, a fabulous team.”

“We have to thank Simone Inzaghi, and President Beppe Marotta,” he went on.

“They’ve built this team to be extraordinary.”

Berti noted that “We sign players on free transfers, and then they’re worth €40-50 million.”

“We’re doing well. The fans are happy. San Siro is always full, and even for away matches, the fans always make the journey of many kilometres to see their team.”

“We did badly in the derby,” Berti noted. “And we drew 4-4 with Juve.”

“But then look at the match against Lazio… We’ll fight to win every trophy this season.”

Meanwhile, Berti named “Nicolo Barella” as the player who reminds him of himself.

“He knows how to be a footballing mimic. He learned that from me.”

Berti argued Barella is currently the top Italian football, “But also in Europe, he’s world-class.”
