Inter Milan’s latest financial reports have given an indication of the outlay the club have faced to bolster the squad, with Davide Frattesi in particular proving to be an expensive acquisition.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, and via FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri’s balance sheet has shown significant expenditure over the past year.
Midfielder Frattesi is the most expensive signing since the summer of 2023, with Inter parting with almost €31,380,000 the Italy international to land him from Sassuolo.
France World Cup-winning defender Benjamin Pavard carried a similar price-tag when joining from Bayern Munich at the start of last season, with the Nerazzurri forking out €31,287,000 in total for him.
Meanwhile, wing-back Carlos Augusto joined from Monza in a deal that is worth €13 million, whilst arguably the most costly transfer was that to bring Marko Arnautovic back to the club from Bologna last season.
The Austrian forward has made little impact in his second spell at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza but weighs heavy on the balance sheet at €11m.
Summer signing Piotr Zielinski is also recorded as costing Inter €2.1m after joining following the expiration of his contract at Napoli.
