Inter Milan Outcast One Step Away From Joining Venezia | OneFootball

Out-of-favour Inter Milan goalkeeper Andrei Radu is one step away from joining Venezia.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio. He reports on his homepage that the Lagunari will sign the Romanian after Filip Stankovic suffered a knee injury.

One thing that’s certain is that goalkeeper Radu is not in the first team picture at Inter.

The 27-year-old had been expected to depart last summer, after an unsuccessful loan stint at Bournemouth. However, he did not end up leaving.

Then, Radu has also yet to leave Inter during the January transfer window.

The Romanian is out of contract with the Nerazzurri at the end of June. Therefore, he would certainly be headed for the exit door one way or another at the end of this season.

Andrei Radu has never really established a place for himself at Inter.

The Romanian was the backup keeper during the 2021-22 season. In April of that campaign, he made an infamous error in a match away to Bologna which effectively cost Inter the title.

Since then, there have been loan spells with the likes of Cremonese, Auxerre, and Bournemouth.

However, Radu has not really managed to get regular playing time at any of these clubs, apart from Auxerre.

Now, the Romanian will get a chance at a new club, reports Di Marzio.

The Sky transfer expert anticipates that Radu will join Venezia.

The newly-promoted Serie A club are looking to make an emergency signing in goal.

This is after Filip Stankovic suffered a knee injury yesterday in a match against Udinese.

It is not yet certain how serious Stankovic’s injury is. However, he could be on the sidelines for some time.

Stankovic is on loan at Venezia from Inter currently, somewhat ironically. He has been a key player for Venezia.

But considering the Serb’s recent injury. the Venetians have targeted Radu. According to Di Marzio, he is very close to making the move and leaving Inter for good.
