Inter Milan attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni could return to Marseille after he recovers from his ACL tear.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
At the moment, Carboni is on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.
The 19-year-old tore his ACL while on international duty with Argentina during the autumn.
Therefore, Carboni will still be out for several months as he recovers from the injury.
However, Tuttosport reports, Carboni should be back for April or May.
Therefore, Inter are starting to think about their plans for when the Argentine returns.
Still just nineteen years of age, there is still plenty of time for Carboni to regain his momentum, and so Inter and the player have a big decision to make in 2025.
Prior to his injury, Carboni had been on loan at Marseille.
The French side signed the teenager on loan in the summer. They reportedly have a purchase option worth more than €40 million, while Inter have a buyback option.
Naturally, the knee injury has brought Carboni’s momentum to a screeching halt.
The prospect of a permanent move to Marseille now seems very far away.
However, Tuttosport report, Inter’s plan will be to loan Carboni out again when he returns.
And another loan to Marseille would be one possible course of action.
