LOSC Lille star Jonathan David has on Monday reiterated his hopes of one day pulling on the colours of La Liga heavyweights Barcelona.
Frontman David, for his part, is a man in-demand with a view to next season.
As much comes with the Canadian international, who has long stood as one of the premiere goalscorers in French football, set to see his terms with Lille come to a close.
David, in turn, is understood to have made his way onto the wishlists of a number of leading clubs from across the continent.
Barcelona, for one, are keeping a close eye on the situation of the 24-year-old, amid an ongoing search for a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
And, as alluded to above, if the latest comments on the part of David himself are anything to go by, then such interest is very much mutual.
Speaking during an interview with The Athletic on Monday, the attacker was drawn on his preferred next club.
And he did not hesitate in responding:
“(Barcelona) was always the team I grew up supporting. When you grow up supporting a team, it’s your dream to play for them.”
