“It's a very special day. Not so long ago, just six months ago, this football pitch was a symbol of sadness and destruction after the DANA, which left it unrecognisable. But today, thanks to our efforts, solidarity, and collaborative work, we've transformed it into a place full of hope, excitement, and a future,” said Inma Ibáñez, Director of the VCF Foundation..

The opening ceremony was attended by General Manager of Valencia CF - Javier Solís -, Director of the VCF Foundation - Inma Ibáñez -, Valencia CF player - César Tárrega -, VCF Femenino player - Claudia Florentino -, club ambassadors - Ricardo Arias, Miguel Ángel Bossio and Miguel Tendillo -, General Manager of GVA Sports - Luis Cervera -, President of the FFCV Technical Committee - Joaquín García -, Corporate Director of LALIGA - Javier Gómez -, President of Divina Seguros - Armando Nieto -, President of the VCF Footballers' Association - Fernando Giner -, President of the Agrupació de Penyes Valencianistes - Fede Sagreras -, President of UD Aldaia - Pepe Villegas - and Mayor of Aldaia - Guillermo Luján -, among others.

This special day began with a fun workshop for the children in attendance, accompanied by the Valencia CF mascot, 'AMUNT.' This was followed by various presentations by representatives of the various organisations involved in the process. Afterward, the commemorative plaque on the football pitch was unveiled, and finally, a training session with coaches from the VCF Academy and the partner school UD Aldaia took place.

After the inauguration, 750 children from the 43 UD Aldaia teams can now enjoy the sports facility, which was devastated by the terrible flood that struck numerous towns in the Valencia region. This represents another step in the return to normal physical, social, and educational activities, allowing for the physical and emotional development of the young players who were affected by the flooding.

COLLABORATIONS

Valencia CF's official insurer, Divina Seguros, joined the club's charity initiative—'UNITS COM SEMPRE'—from the outset, matching the largest contribution made by private donors. In addition, Divina Seguros offered, free of charge, private health coverage for both accidents and illnesses to more than a thousand children from football schools affected by the DANA.

"The reconstruction of this stadium goes beyond the materials, because we cannot forget that football is much more than just physical exercise. It's a way to build a community and a powerful tool for promoting, from childhood, values such as commitment, effort, teamwork, respect, and empathy," emphasises Armando Nieto, President of Divina Seguros.

Likewise, together with Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation, the insurer donated a musical instrument to the Aldaia Musical Union and the Aldaia Symphonic Band—bands affected by the flood.LALIGA EA SPORTS' collaboration in the restoration is part of the FC FUTURES project, which seeks to ensure easy, high-quality access to football for children and young people around the world. As part of this project, balls and sports equipment have also been donated to affected schools in the area.
