Gabriel has marked recent goals with a celebration similar to that of Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres
Jorginho has hailed Gabriel as a “real threat” from set-pieces and revealed the defender’s celebration is the talk of the Arsenal dressing room.
Gabriel continued his fine run of form in front of goal on Saturday by powering home a header from a corner in Arsenal’s 5-2 win at West Ham.
The Brazilian has now scored three goals in the Premier League this season, with Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz the only two Arsenal players with a better tally than that.
Gabriel has proved particularly unstoppable from set-pieces and he also found the net earlier last week when Arsenal won at Sporting in Lisbon.
“I’m not gonna tell you,” said Jorginho, grinning, when asked how Gabriel can be stopped.
“He’s really good and I think it requires a lot of work from the whole team and everyone does their job and then he’s a real threat, and he’s been so helpful to us.”
Gabriel’s goals this week were accompanied with a new celebration, which appears to be inspired by Batman.
The defender debuted the celebration against Sporting, interlocking his fingers and making a mask in a similar fashion to striker Viktor Gyokeres.

The Swede’s celebration is inspired by DC comics villain, Bane, and the theory on social media is that Gabriel has responded by imitating Batman.
“We make fun of it (Gabriel’s celebration) and he has fun with it as well, so I think it’s great stuff what’s happening,” said Jorginho.
Saturday’s victory at the London Stadium made it three wins on the spin for Arsenal since they returned from the international break earlier this month.
They have scored 13 goals in that time and Jorginho believes the Gunners are starting to hit their stride again.
“We did a really good game and we deserved the win [at West Ham],” he said.
“We shouldn’t have conceded the way we did. But we take a lot of positive stuff from here and it is important to win again.
“I think having players back from injury, having the whole squad available, has made a huge difference and we fixed something that wasn’t working and now it is.
“We are in a good momentum now. We need to carry on going and focus on the next one.”
