Liverpool will lock horns with Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium this Monday night as they hope to earn a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Reds were held to a 2-2 draw by Arsenal recently, so they would be eager to get back to winning ways versus the Seagulls.

Arne Slot will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some tweaks to his first XI for this game. Diogo Jota will probably get the nod to lead the line for the Merseyside club up top.

Defence

Caoimhín Kelleher will operate in between the sticks for the Reds as he looks to keep a clean sheet away from home. Jarell Quansah could get an opportunity to partner Virgil Van Dijk at the heart of the Liverpool backline as they try to keep the opposition at bay during the 90 minutes.

Conor Bradley will fill in as the right-back while Kostas Tsimikas hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Ibrahima Konate and Andrew Robertson will be available for selection on the bench as they provide cover for the centre-back positions.

Midfield

Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo and Harvey Elliott will make up Slot’s midfield as they try to establish their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park.

Ryan Gravenberch and Curtis Jones will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Cody Gakpo will try to give a good account of himself on the left flank while Mohamed Salah looks to weave his magic as the right-winger.

Diogo Jota will spearhead Liverpool’s attack up top. The Portuguese talent has to find a way to threaten the Brighton goal this Monday night.

Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz will be named on the bench as they await their opportunity to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if the Reds are in need of a goal by then.
