Teun Koopmeiners, Juventus’ most expensive summer signing, is under pressure in Italy having failed to justify his €60m price tag so far, with just one assist in 13 appearances.
Juventus summer signing Koopmeiners is struggling to emerge at Juventus after completing a €60m transfer from Atalanta last summer.
One of the best central midfielders in Europe in 2023-24 with 15 goals and seven assists in 51 appearances with Atalanta, Koopmeiners has been struggling to impress at Juventus, and Italian media have criticised his performances lately.

One of the Corriere dello Sport headlines on Friday was quite self-explanatory: ‘Where’s the real Koopmeiners?’
The Bianconeri haven’t scored any goal in the last two competitive matches, and criticism of the Dutch midfielder intensified, especially after Juventus’ 0-0 draw against Aston Villa.
Thiago Motta has complete trust in the ex-Atalanta ace, who started in the last five games across all competitions.
Koopmeiners missed the final part of the pre-season with Atalanta in the summer while pushing for a move to Juventus.
He’s had a few physical issues this term, including a broken rib, which affected his performance.
Juventus’ next Serie A game is against Lecce at the Stadio Via Del Mare on December 1.
