Vincent Kompany provided an update on star striker Harry Kane in this afternoon's press conference ahead of a busy week for Die Rekordmeister.
Fears started to grow earlier this morning as Kane, who suffered a knock in their clash with Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, was not spotted on the training pitch.
Head coach Kompany has shed some light on the matter stating “it’s [the injury] is nothing bad. We haven’t had much time for recovery and sometimes you need an extra rest day.
“We will see how he [Kane] feels and make a decision then, but I expect its nothing serious. There has not been much time for the squad to recover,” the Belgian said.
The news comes as a welcome relief as the Bavarian giants take on UEFA Champions League play-off opponents Celtic in the second-leg tomorrow and face Eintracht Frankfurt in Bundesliga action next Sunday.
Elsewhere, BILD reported that Joshua Kimmich left training after 15 minutes however he and other teammates who played against Leverkusen only partook in 35 minutes training. The reason being workload management ahead of a busy week.
