With the first half coming to an end, FC Barcelona are all but guaranteed to progress to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, having taken a 3-1 lead (4-1 on aggregate) against Benfica in the Round of 16 second-leg fixture.
The Blaugrana opened the scoring thanks to Lamine Yamal, who set Raphinha up for the opening strike with a stunning pass.
While Benfica equalised soon after, the hosts were back ahead with more magic from Lamine, who found the back of the net with a sensational strike showcasing his individual brilliance.
With his strike, Lamine made UEFA Champions League history as he became the youngest player to score and assist in a single Champions League game at the age of 17 years and 241 days.
Not only that, but the La Masia sensation also equalled Julian Draxler’s record for the most appearances in the knockout rounds of the Champions League before turning 18 (6).
There has been no doubt that the 17-year-old is a special player and game after game he continues to show the quality he possesses.
Simply sensational.
