This afternoon, AC Milan’s Primavera team beat Lazio by two goals to nil and as a result, they have gotten closer to the golden sixth place.
It has been a difficult few weeks for the Milan Primavera, as they have struggled to get a grip on the slide, which has seen them without a win in their last four games, most recently falling to Empoli away from home.
Today, however, this was not the case, with the Young Rossoneri outfit getting back to winning ways in an impressive fashion.
The first half offered limited entertainment, with both teams trying to make chances but failing to do anything of note. However, in the sixth minute of two added minutes of injury time, the Diavolo struck through Paloschi, who headed the ball past the Lazio ‘keeper.
It was a case of the same after the restart, with a few half chances dotted around the opening 15 minutes of the second period, but from the 60th minute onwards, Milan became the clear dominant force.
Scotti and Perrucci both had chances to make it 2-0, but in the 70th minute, it was Matteo Liberali who would double the lead with a very nice strike indeed, one that will impress the club’s following him.
The win puts Milan a point behind Verona, who currently occupy sixth, and if they are able to overthrow the side, then they will compete in the Scudetto finals.
