On Sunday, Lazio returned to Rome empty-handed after succumbing to their fourth defeat of the Serie A campaign at the hands of Parma.
The Biancocelesti thought they took an early lead thanks to a sublime long-range effort from Nicolo Rovella. However, a controversial VAR intervention saw the goal ruled out. The midfielder swiftly turned from hero to villain, as his terrible backpass allowed Dennis to snatch the opener for the home side.
Therefore, Rovella was one of three Lazio players to earn below-par marks, at least based on the ratings some Italian newspapers. The other two are Mario Gila who was dispossessed ahead of the second goal, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru who failed to inspire on his return to the starting lineup, prompting Marco Baroni to replace him with Pedro at the interval.
On the other hand, Mattia Zaccagni was considered the best Lazio player, earning 7/10 on two accounts. Matteo Guendouzi and Taty Castellanos weren’t too far behind, receiving a solid 6.5/10 on most accounts, while Loum Tchaouna was also praised for his positive second-half cameo.
So here are the ratings for the Lazio players who suffered a 1-3 defeat at the hands of their hosts Parma (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).
