The race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush is intensifying after the 25-year-old’s standout performances in the Bundesliga this season. Despite the growing interest, no offers have been made yet.
Journalist Ben Jacobs reported this week that Manchester City is still monitoring Marmoush. While no talks have taken place between the clubs, Marmoush remains a key target for City.
If City manage to secure his commitment, they could approach Frankfurt in January to strike a deal, rather than waiting for the summer. However, there are concerns that Frankfurt may be unwilling to sell during this window, as they focus on their UEFA Champions League campaign.
City’s interest isn’t just about Marmoush’s goalscoring, as he could also help fill the void left by Julián Alvarez. While a deal seems unlikely for now, with no bid or formal contact made, this is a situation worth following closely.

Marmoush has reportedly agreed to join Manchester City, according to Sky Sports. City are now preparing to open talks with Frankfurt for the Egyptian forward. The German club are asking for €80million (£67m), but City are expected to push for a fee closer to €50-€60m (£42-£50m).
Meanwhile, Fussball News claimed that Frankfurt was open to selling Marmoush if their €60 million (£50 million or $64.8 million) valuation was met. Meanwhile, The Mirror revealed that PSG scouts attended Frankfurt’s UEFA Europa League match against Midtjylland to watch Marmoush in action.
The 24-year-old has been in outstanding form this season, with 18 goals and 12 assists in 24 appearances across all competitions.
