The representatives of Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate have opened initial talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a potential summer move, according to Sky Sports Switzerland.
The France international has around 16 months left on his contract at the Anfield club, and discussions over an extension have been ongoing for a while.
However, Liverpool have not met his demands and an exit at the end of the season cannot be completely ruled out, with Konate open to a return to France to be closer to his family and friends.
The 25-year-old left his country for Bundesliga club RB Leipzig in 2017, joining the Reds in 2021 and has featured in 117 games across all competitions so far.
Konate has established a solid partnership with Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk at the back in recent seasons, but the duo could both be on their way out of the Merseyside club at the end of 2024-25 as the Dutchman is out of contract in the summer.
Losing either or both is the last thing Reds manager Arne Slot wants, but that could be on the cards even if Liverpool end up winning the Carabao Cup, Premier League and Champions League at the end of the campaign.
The current league leaders will be desperate to avoid losing Konate and will readily offer him improved terms, but PSG could offer him better personal terms, which could tempt him to move on.
The French giants want to strengthen at the back as they look to improve their fortunes in Europe going forward having dominated the domestic scene, and they will be hoping they can convince the Liverpool defender and his club with juicy deals in the coming months.
The Reds could lose Konate for nothing at the end of next season if they refuse to sell him this summer and he does not sign a contract extension, which would be a huge financial and footballing blow.
