GK: Andre Onana - Even a remote chance of the Cameroonian being dropped amid a couple of recent errors disappeared when Altay Bayindir was less then exemplary in the Carabao Cup.
CB: Leny Yoro - The teenage Frenchman is still finding his feet in English football, having missed most of pre-season and only recovered from injury last month.
CB: Harry Maguire - His future has a degree of uncertainty, but the former skipper has largely impressed since working his way back into the team.
CB: Jonny Evans - Lisandro Martinez has been short of his best this season and it may tempt Amorim to plump for the consistent reliability of his most senior outfield player.
RM: Noussair Mazraoui - It can't be easy to chop and change role constantly. But with some consistency, the Morocco international could become a real asset.
CM: Casemiro - Curiously an unused substitute in the last four Premier League games and the team has fared arguably worse without him during that run. It could be time for a recall.
CM: Kobbie Mainoo - This fixture last season was one of the youngster's crowning moments in a tremendous breakout campaign. He doesn't seem to have been quite at it since returning from injury.
LM: Diogo Dalot - With Tyrell Malacia probably still not ready to start twice in four days, it may be back over to the left for one of United's most used players.
AM: Amad Diallo - If anyone can lay claim to being the first name on the teamsheet, it is perhaps United's flying Ivorian. It's 11 goals and assists across his last 11 appearances.
AM: Bruno Fernandes - The captain has continued to perform, even if others around him are struggling. His record of nine Premier League goals and assists so far isn't to be sniffed at.
ST: Rasmus Hojlund - It looks likely the Dane will be in a regular battle with Joshua Zirkzee for this starting spot for the rest of the season. Will score if chances are created.
