The winter transfer window has come and gone and one Paris Saint-Germain transfer target that didn’t get his move was Christopher Nkunku.
Since his £52 million move from RB Leipzig in 2023, Nkunku has found it challenging to lock down a consistent starting spot, fueling rumors about where he could be headed as his future doesn’t seem to be at Stamford Bridge.
According to a previous report from journalist Ben Jacobs, PSG had seriously considered bringing him back to Ligue 1, although no official offer has been made.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich opted not to chase Nkunku this winter, with Sport Bild’s Christian Falk reporting that the German club are likely to rekindle their interest in the summer.

Recently, TEAMtalk reported that Manchester United are still interested in Nkunku as the deadline day approaches. With Bayern Munich out of the race, at least for now, United had a chance to sign the player, but no move was made.
As a result, when ESPN revealed its winners and losers of the winter transfer window the four-letter network wasn’t kind to the Frenchman. Nkunku joins Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea, who were labeled losers of the winter transfer window.
“Sources told ESPN ahead of deadline day that Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku was desperate to leave after playing just 419 minutes in the Premier League so far this season,” the outlet wrote. “But when the deadline passed, the France international was still there.
“Interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester United came to nothing, as the Blues reportedly wanted at least €60m for a permanent transfer and it’s surprising that he didn’t move out on loan in the end. Though it seems neither the player nor club were interested in a short-term deal.
“It remains to be seen what part he will play in the rest of the season, but a summer move is almost certainly on the cards.”
