The transfer window has really come alive for Chelsea in the last couple of days as things look to be getting a bit more dramatic right now.
Matt Law of The Telegraph has put his latest report out last night, and he has rounded up a list of the potential big departures that we might see from Chelsea during this transfer window.
January was never expected to be a busy one for Chelsea overall, but outgoings were always going to be a bit of a priority. I think that arrivals will always depend on who they let go, and if any high profile first team players do go, then it looks like Chelsea will look to replace them.
They have even been strongly linked with wanting to sign Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo this week, which is a rumour that has legs, but a rumour that has come out of nowhere too.
Chelsea are also seemingly trying to see if a deal to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace is viable this month, which is clearly another potential deal to watch.
Nkunku could still leave this month
There are two surprising names on a lost of potential departures, Axel Disasi and Christopher Nkunku.
Law says Chelsea are open to bids for are midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who has high-profile interest from Germany, and Carney Chukwuemeka, who has a £40 million release clause and, along with Dewsbury-Hall, is on West Ham United’s radar.
Axel Disasi could be allowed to leave Chelsea.
Chelsea are hoping that Ben Chilwell will leave this month and are prepared to loan him out in order to help him get regular football.
Christopher Nkunku is thought to be open to a move away from Stamford Bridge – either this month or in the summer.
So, a lot can happen this month!
