Milan returned to the training pitch this morning at Milanello, following the Christmas break granted by head coach Paulo Fonseca. Preparations are underway for this weekend’s Serie A clash against Roma at San Siro.

According to MilanNews, Álvaro Morata, back from tonsillitis, and Ismael Bennacer participated in full training with the group. Meanwhile, American international duo Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah were limited to individualised training programs.

With Rafael Leao already out, Fonseca is hopeful Pulisic, who suffered a calf injury earlier this month, will recover in time Sunday’s showdown against his former employers.

However, should Pulisic remain unavailable for the Giallorossi, Fonseca will likely be forced to utilise fullback Alex Jimenez on the left wing with Samuel Chukwueze on the right.
