Milan Futuro twice led against fellow strugglers Sestri Levante at the Stadio Felice Chinetti, but were twice pegged back and had to share the spoils.

After being beaten 4-1 by league-leaders Pescara just a few days ago, there was some pressure on the team to respond and keep picking up points in the battle against an inaugural season relegation.

The game started perfectly for Milan as a free-kick from the right by Chaka Traore three minutes in was met by the head of Kevin Zeroli, whose run evaded everyone and he was able to finish.

Sestri Levante then took command of the game as they pushed for an equaliser, which they got 30 minutes in. The way it was conceded will have made Daniele Bonera angry as Coubis coughed up possession on the edge of the box and Durmush finished past Torriani.

Seven minutes after that, the Rossoneri had the chance to retake the lead from the spot as Silvano Vos had a shot blocked by the arm of the defender. Zeroli took on the responsibility and tucked his penalty inside the post.

The away side got themselves level just after the hour mark through Parravicini who converted a cross from Furno, and that would be how it remained until full-time.

It was a match that Milan Futuro absolutely had to win given Sestri Levante are a team that was in the same position in the standings and in an even worse state of form. Before today, they had not scored in seven consecutive matches, and without Torriani they could have had more.
