AC Milan
·9 de mayo de 2025
On Saturday 10 May, at 20:00 CEST at the Stadio Felice Chinetti, Milan Futuro v SPAL will take place as the first leg of the Serie C Playout – Group B. The Rossoneri finished the regular season in 18th place, SPAL in 17th: the two teams will face each other in a two-legged tie with no extra time or penalties. In the event of a draw, the team with the best position in the standings will go through, which means our opponents. It is the first of two finals to decide who stays in the division. Here is our Match Preview:
LATEST FROM MILAN FUTURO Mister Oddo's team comes into this play-off after finishing the regular season with 35 points, in third-last place. On the last day, they drew 1-1 against Vis Pesaro, thanks to a late goal from Alesi. However, this point was not enough to prevent SPAL from overtaking them, thus gaining the advantage ahead of the playout. The Rossoneri showed positive signs in the latter part of the season, often coming back from behind, but they are paying for their difficulties in finding consistency and results. We will see if the absence of Francesco Camarda, who did not reach the 25 appearances required to be eligible for the postseason, will prove to be a deficit for our boys or an extra motivation to do well.
LATEST FROM SPAL SPAL finished the season in 17th place with 36 points, one more than us, thanks to an important 3-0 win against Gubbio on the last matchday. It was a victory that boosted morale and allowed Francesco Baldini's Ferrara-based side to find new motivation. The Estense coach, who took over from Andrea Dossena in February following the defeat to Milan Futuro, has not yet had the opportunity to face the Rossoneri. However, it is worth remembering that SPAL lost both games against us this season. After various experiments, he seems to have found the 3-4-3 formation that best suits his players: the Biancazzurri rely on the goals and experience of captain Mirko Antenucci, who is close to retirement. With their advantage in the standings, they will try to set up a defensive game and then strike on the counterattack.
WHERE TO WATCH MILAN FUTURO ON TV In Italy, the game will be exclusively live on TV on Sky Sport e NOW. Don't miss our coverage on Instagram, AC Milan Official App - where in the days after the match, the entire match will be available on demand (also on acmilan.com).
LATEST FROM SERIE C The referee will be Mastrodomenico from the Matera section. Assistant referees are Chichi and Russo, fourth official Cerbasi, VAR Di Martino and AVAR Mucera.
The first leg of the Serie C Group B relegation play-out will take place on the evening of Saturday 10 May at 20:00 CEST: Sestri Levante v Lucchese and Milan Futuro v SPAL.
Remember that in the event of a tie at the end of the two matches, the team with the better league position will be saved. The final standings of the four teams are: Lucchese (-6) 39, SPAL (-3) 35, MILAN FUTURO 34, Sestri Levante 31.
