Milan Intensify Talks with Bologna for Star Italian Winger | OneFootball

Milan and Bologna could arrange a player-plus-cash swap deal involving Noah Okafor and Riccardo Orsolini late in January. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Sergio Conceicao’s men have lodged a formal bid for the Italian winger.

However, the Bologna management firmly rejected Rossoneri’s opening proposal. Indeed, Milan offered €18 million plus Okafor for the long-serving Rossoblu stalwart, only to receive a negative response immediately. Yet, it won’t discourage them.

As it looks, Milan are determined to sign Orsolini this winter. Therefore, they’ll soon pitch Bologna with a new bid. They’d put €20m on the table and add Samuel Chukwueze to sweeten the deal. But the Nigerian would only join Vincenzo Italiano’s side on loan until the end of the season.

Orsolini has been a textbook definition of consistency in recent Serie A seasons. He has tallied 5+ goals in the last seven top-flight campaigns, demonstrating his capacity to deliver on a regular basis. As such, Bologna’s hopes of fending off Milan are unsurprising.

Meanwhile, Milan confirmed Kyle Walker’s loan arrival from Manchester City on Friday. The Englishman could be a season-defining signing for Conceicao’s side, considering Davide Calabria and Emerson Royal have failed to live up to the billing.

But reinforcing the right flank could be equally significant. Milan’s attacks have become one-dimensional, with only Rafael Leao making a difference on the wing now that Christian Pulisic has started playing in a more central role.

There’s no doubt Orsolini would be a massive coup for Milan, but convincing Bologna could be easier said than done.
