AC Milan will be up against Napoli on Sunday evening and according to a report, Ruben Loftus-Cheek will return to the starting eleven as one of two changes.

Loftus-Cheek hasn’t played a game from start since December, but after doing well at Milanello since the injury recovery, he’s ready to get back on the horse. According to MilanNews, he will be one of two changes for the important game against Napoli tomorrow.

The backline will remain intact, with Matteo Gabbia and Malick Thiaw preferred at the heart of it, while the only change in midfield is due to Yunus Musah’s suspension. Tijjani Reijnders will play in the tandem instead, with Loftus-Cheek as the No.10 for the night.

The second change will be in attack, more specifically the No.9 role. Santiago Gimenez has struggled to impress lately but the opposite can be said for Tammy Abraham, who came off the bench against Como and assisted the winner. As such, he will play from start.

Predicted Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Walker, Gabbia, Thiaw, Theo Hernandez; Bondo, Reijnders; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Abraham.

Perhaps aside from Loftus-Cheek, as some expected Youssouf Fofana to start alongside Warren Bondo, there is nothing surprising about the starting eleven. Indeed, the reports this morning have been that Conceicao will keep things simple, not willing to experiment at this stage of the season.
