Fears were likely heightened when Alvaro Morata was rushed to hospital after a training collision, but the AC Milan striker should return soon.
Ahead of the Cagliari fixture, the striker suffered an injury during training, clashing heads with Strahinja Pavlovic, and was subsequently sent to hospital for a check-up given the nature of the injury.
Whilst the MRI scans showed no negative signs, he was still forced to miss the game against Cagliari, and this allowed Francesco Camarda his first senior start.
Despite the knock, the Spaniard has still departed for international duty, and today he took part in training, aiming to be in with a chance of starting La Roja’s game on Friday against Denmark. However, this is still up in the air.
After being awarded the Premio Zarra – the best Spanish goalscorer of the 2023/24 La Liga season – the striker spoke to Marca about his current recovery, and his words have been relayed by Milan News.
“Will I continue scoring goals? Of course, I will continue scoring goals with my head or whatever. It doesn’t matter how I score or whether or not they go in the cross of the posts. Everything is fine now, thank God it was just a big scare. I’ll train on Thursday [today] and hopefully, I’ll be able to play on Friday against Denmark.
