Last week, there was good news for Manchester City on the injury front. Rodri and Erling Haaland returned to training in a welcome boost for Pep Guardiola’s side. Neither player featured in City’s 1-nil win over Wolves last Friday, but having them back training indicates that their returns to the pitch are edging closer. Now, ahead of Manchester City’s important Premier League fixture against Southampton, there has been more good news for Manchester City on the injury front.

Oscar Bobb and Nathan Ake have both trained ahead of Southampton clash.

CityXtra has reported that Oscar Bobb has returned to training. The Norwegian international has been out after suffering a hamstring injury. Jack Gaughan had previously reported via X that Manchester City were hopeful of Bobb returning before the end of this season.

The returns of Oscar Bobb and Nathan Ake is welcome news for Pep Guardiola’s side. Manchester City are getting players back from injury at the right time. They still have to secure Champions League football for next season and have the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace ahead of them. There is also the FIFA Club World Cup that awaits in June. Bobb and Ake’s return to training is good news given what lies ahead of Pep Guardiola’s side.

It is unlikely that Nathan Ake or Oscar Bobb will be feature in Manchester City’s squad for Saturday’s clash with Southampton. But their return to training indicates that they both should play a role in what lies ahead for Pep Guardiola’s side.
