Real Madrid have been the unnerving shadow watching over Alex Jimenez this season, but there is recent confidence that AC Milan could keep him.
Signing a youngster from Real normally has the future clause within the deal, as we saw with Brahim, and now, this has come to fruition once again. After a successful loan spell, Milan took the option to sign Jimenez permanently in the summer, but with the caveat of his move having a buy-back clause.
Reports state the figure to activate that move would be as low as €9 million, which is a real scare considering his quality; however, Milan Press report that the Spaniard could stay in Italy a while longer.
The latest suggestions are that he found the ‘solution’ to his issues with the Rossoneri last Friday, because he was played in his preferred position. Against Udinese, he was one of the most impressive players on the pitch, and there is significant hope once again for him.
Throughout the year, he has been forced to play in a number of positions, and whilst offering an option in them, the Spaniard has not looked confident and/or comfortable. So, with his newfound confidence and put blankly, ability, on show there is hope of continuity.
