Musah admits Milan are ‘very angry’ after Juventus loss and lifts lid on ‘strong character’ Conceicao | OneFootball

Yunus Musah has shed some light on how it has been working under the new head coach Sergio Conceicao, also commenting on his versatility.

The mission for Milan in many ways is quite simple: win their last two games of the first phase of the Champions League to get into the top eight and achieve direct qualification for the last 16.

However, tonight’s game will not be easy against last season’s surprise package in LaLiga, Girona. Although they have struggled in Europe so far with one win and five defeats, they can still cause big problems.

Conceicao has asked for a response from his players after the 2-0 defeat to Juventus at the weekend, but he also called on the fans to support the team too. Musah is expected to start on the right side of the attack again, given the number of injury issues to contend with.

Musah spoke to both Sky and Milan TV on the eve of the game – as well as alongside Conceicao in the pre-match press conference – and his comments were relayed by MilanNews.

How important is the Girona game?

“We’ve won four games and now we want to win a fifth. We hope to get as high as possible.”

What has it been like under Conceicao so far?

“He has a strong character, he is very demanding, and this is positive. He asks us to always give our best. He knows that we have great potential.”

“Playing is a pleasure, I don’t care where I’m placed. I just want to give the team a hand with my characteristics.”

What was team’s mood like after the defeat to Juventus?

“The team are very angry that we didn’t do our best. We want to react immediately and we have the chance tomorrow to continue the good run in the Champions League.”

What do you expect from Girona?

“Girona is a strong team, they like to play. They have players with a lot of quality. We have to play our game and want to win more than them. We can certainly do very well at San Siro with our fans.”

How are you finding it at Milan?

“I really want to play, I’m very lucky to be here. Every day, every game is an opportunity to do my best and help this club be where it deserves to be.”
