Napoli are ready to join the race to try and sign Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Partenopei could offer a loan deal with a purchase obligation meeting Inter’s €45 million valuation.

Frattesi’s situation at Inter has come under a lot of scrutiny in the last couple weeks.

The former Sassuolo midfielder is not a regular starter for the Nerazzurri.

Therefore, Frattesi has reportedly made it clear that he’d like to leave in search of more playing time.

For their part, Inter are not going to let Frattesi go for a cut-price fee. However, they have placed a valuation of €45 million on the 25-year-old, and would consider offers of that size.

A number of clubs are reportedly keeping tabs on Frattesi’s situation.

The strongest links concern Roma. The Giallorossi reportedly consider Frattesi to be a major target if he’s available, even if the finances involved in a deal would be tricky.

But Napoli are another club who have been tracking Frattesi since he was at Sassuolo, before Inter won the race to sign him in 2023.

And the Partenopei are considering swooping in if Frattesi pushes for an exit. Even as early as the January transfer window.

Naturally, Inter would be reluctant to sell Frattesi to a direct title rival this month.

But Napoli are considering presenting a loan-with-obligation offer that would be right around Inter’s asking price, reports the Corriere.
