Suitably, it also came via a Marcelo assist, with the two dovetailing spectacularly over the years for Real.

His 450 goals across nine seasons in just 438 games, and also made it a remarkable average of 50 per campaign.

Ronaldo signed off for Real a week later by helping them to their third consecutive Champions League trophy, and fourth in his glorious spell with the club.
