Owen Hargreaves made a huge claim about Romeo Lavia after Chelsea were held to a draw by Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday evening.
The Blues were thankful to Reece James for a point as he scored a stoppage time free-kick to level the scores at 2-2, meaning Chelsea have now gone five Premier League games without a win.
Chelsea remain fourth because of Manchester City’s draw with Brentford, but the Blues could find themselves in fifth if Newcastle beat Wolves on Wednesday night.
Maresca as expected made a number of changes from the side that beat Morecambe in the FA Cup, with Lavia the only player to keep his place in the starting line-up.
The Belgian returned from injury to play 45 minutes on the weekend and started his second game in a matter of days against the Cherries.

Lavia put in a good performance, but was partially at fault for the penalty Chelsea conceded in the second half, before he was replaced by James.
The 21-year-old has struggled with injury since joining Chelsea from Southampton in a deal worth up to £58m in 2023, but he’s played more regularly this season, with Jody Morris claiming he’s a better ball carrier than Enzo Fernandez.
Hargreaves was really impressed with the midfielder and made a big claim about the Belgium international and one aspect of his game in particular.
“Lavia is so good on the ball. He might be one of the most press-resistant players I’ve seen,” he told TNT Sports.

The former Southampton man is very good under pressure and he’s so important to how Chelsea play and provides a really nice balance to the side.
The big problem for Chelsea has been keeping him fit for a sustained period of time, and Enzo Maresca will be hoping he’s available for the remainder of the season to help the Blues get back into the Champions League.
