According to Sky Sport Italia, the hunt for a new Milan sporting director has been whittled down to just two candidates, Fabio Paratici and Igli Tare.
It is no secret that the Rossoneri want to reinforce their club structure with an experienced figure in the role, having until now been sharing the duties around between Geoffrey Moncada and Sport Development director Jovan Kirovski.
Several different names have been floated including Francois Modesto and Atalanta’s Tony D’Amico.
Andrea Berta was repeatedly mentioned, but Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims he is more inclined towards a Premier League role.
He insists the race is down to just two candidates, both with a great deal of previous Serie A experience.
They are ex-Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur chief Paratici, along with long-term Lazio boss Tare.

Paratici is currently suspended following the financial irregularities at Juventus that forced them to miss out on Europe last season and be docked Serie A points.
He was at Juve from 2010 to 2021, then at Tottenham Hotspur until the 30-month global ban was imposed in April 2023.
As for Tare, the 51-year-old former striker only ever worked at Lazio from his retirement as a player in 2008 to June 2023, when his contract came to an end.
This is hardly the first time that Tare has been linked with a role at Milan and he is currently a free agent.
