Pierre-Emile Højbjerg set to miss Le Classique | OneFootball

According to a report from L’Équipe, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (29) is set to miss out Olympique de Marseille’s clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday evening.

The Danish midfielder had missed two training sessions last week after picking up a foot injury. Despite his discomfort, Højbjerg lined up for the 1-0 defeat to RC Lens on Saturday as he attempted to play through the pain.

The issue has not resolved itself and L’Équipe writes that the midfielder has not been present during training this week and as a result he is very unlikely to be able to attend the final Le Classique of the season.

Højbjerg in doubt for Denmark internationals

Højbjerg had also been selected as part of the upcoming Denmark squad that will face Portugal in the Nations League quarter-final on the 20th and 23rd of March. The former Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton FC man is now a doubt for this double-header.
