Maignan 6 – Could do nothing to avoid Ndoye’s goal. Excellent distribution and long balls.
Tomori 4.5 – Booked for a blatant foul on Ndoye, tricked by Ndoye for Bologna’s winner. (62′ Walker 6)
Gabbia 5.5 – The best defender in the trio without doing much.
Pavlovic 5 – Not entirely confident against Orsolini and Holm, so Theo tracked back before the break to return to a four-man defence.
Jimenez 6 – He didn’t do anything out of this world, but at least he provided balance. (62′ Joao Felix 5)
Fofana 5.5 – Started despite not being fully fit, and in fact, he was a bit sloppy initially. He picked up as the game progressed, but was never really sharp (87′ Chukwueze N/A).
Reijnders 6 – Surrounded by transfer rumours despite a recent contract extension, the Dutchman created a big chance and had a 97% passing accuracy.
Theo Hernandez 5 – Hidden in the first half, sloppy defensively as his clearance ended up in Ndoye’s feet for Bologna’s opener.
Pulisic 5 – Like Theo on the opposite flank, Captain America was too hidden and was only seen when he was booked for dissent before the break. (87′ Abraham N/A)
Jovic 5 – He missed the best chance for Milan in the opening stages. (62′ Gimenez 5)
Leao 5.5 – A few dangerous sprints in the first half. Got really upset with the referee at halftime and had to be pushed away by his teammates. He turned off the light in the second half.
Coach: Conceiçao 5 – His team looked empty and this time, they couldn’t complete another comeback.
Skorupski 7 – Started the game with two excellent saves, one to prevent an own goal and the other to deny Jovic.
Holm 6.5 – An all-round performance down the right flank. Dangerous up front and controlled relatively well Leao. (76′ Calabria N/A)
Beukema 7 – Clean in the buildup (94% accuracy via Sofascore) and solid defensively.
Lucumí 7.5 – Physically imposing, he defended well inside the box when Bologna kept a high line. Smart decision when he got a yellow card for pulling Pulisic in the second half.
Miranda 6.5 – One of the most underrated left-backs of the season. Two key passes, one big chance created.
Ferguson 6.5 – In the first half, he sent two shots from the edge of the box over the crossbar. Received a deserved yellow card for a tactical foul on Leao, but paid the consequences with a bleeding nose.
Freuler 6.5 – You may not see him too often, but he’s always there helping the team. Crucial.
Orsolini 6 – Not an easy opponent for Pavlovic, but his crosses were often misplaced. (69′ Casale 6.5)
Fabbian 7 – His excellent through ball surprised the entire Milan defence and paved the way for Bologna’s winner. A product of the Inter academy, surely extra motivated. (69′ Pobega 6.5)
Ndoye 7.5 – The Swiss winger was still not entirely fit, but scored the opener early in the second half, sending the 30,000 Bologna fans wild (80′ Odgaard N/A).
Castro 6 – Didn’t have any big chance, but El Torito fought on every ball (80′ Dallinga N/A)
Coach: Italiano 8 – The great winner of the night. He ended his Fiorentina spell with three defeats in three finals. He got redemption with a historic, deserved win. He clinched it with correct tactical decisions, but also with great desire, more than the one shown by Milan.
