It's Derby d'Italia time this weekend, as Juventus host fierce rivals Inter Milan at the Allianz Stadium in Matchday 25 of this season's Serie A campaign.

Equip yourselves with all the must-knows ahead of Sunday's 20:45 CET kick-off:

Head-to-head

  • This will be the 184th meeting between Inter and Juventus in Serie A. The Bianconeri lead the head to heads with 87 wins to 49, with 47 draws completing the picture. Against no other team in the history of the tournament have the Bianconeri been more successful (87 also against Lazio).
  • Inter are unbeaten in their last three matches against Juventus in the league (1W, 2D) - over the last 45 years, only once have they recorded four consecutive matches without defeat against the Bianconeri in Serie A: between 2003 and 2005 (3W and 1D in that case).
  • After the 4-4 draw in the first leg on 27 October last year, Juventus and Inter could draw both Serie A fixtures for just the fourth time in history, after the 2001/02, 1994/95 and 1988/89 seasons.
  • Juventus are the team against whom Inter have suffered the most defeats (87) and conceded the most goals (263) in Serie A.
  • In the last nine matches played between Inter and Juventus in Serie A, there have been three wins earned for each side along with three draws, with exactly 12 goals scored apiece.

Interesting Facts

  • In the first leg match between Juventus and Inter, eight goals were scored (4-4) for the first time in a Serie A match between these two teams since 10 June 1961.
  • In the 91 home matches Juventus have played against Inter in Serie A, the Nerazzurri have lost 62 of those matches (12W, 17D) - against no other opponent have they tasted defeat so many times away from home in the competition.
  • Juventus have remained unbeaten in 10 of their last 11 home matches against Inter in the league (7W, 3D); the Nerazzurri's only victory in that period at the Allianz Stadium in Serie A came on 3 April 2022 (0-1 with Hakan Çalhanoglu's goal from a penalty kick).
  • Inter lost their last away league game (3-0 against Fiorentina) and have not suffered two away defeats in a row in Serie A since February and March 2023 (against Bologna and Spezia in that case).
  • Juventus is the only team still undefeated in home games this Serie A season (5W, 7D). They are also the only team that has not lost any matches in Serie A after conceding the first goal.

Player Numbers

  • Randal Kolo Muani (five goals in three matches) is the first player to score at least five goals in his first three Serie A appearances in the three-point-per-win era (since 1994/95). The Frenchman could also become only the second footballer to score in all of his first four Serie A matches in the three-point-per-win era (among those who made their debut in this period), after Krzysztof Piatek, who scored in all of his first seven matches in the 2018/19 league campaign.
  • In the first leg against Inter, Kenan Yildiz (19 years and 176 days) became the youngest player to score at least two goals in a single match between Inter and Juventus in Serie A history. The last Bianconeri player to score more goals in a single season against the Nerazzurri in the league was Roberto Baggio in 1991/92 (three).
  • Timothy Weah, who scored against both Inter Milan and AC Milan this season, has five goals to his name in Serie A this campaign, after failing to score a single goal in the competition last season. The American can become the fourth non-European Bianconero to score in both single-season matches against the Nerazzurri after Raimundo Orsi in 1931/32, Arturo Vidal in 2013/14 and Paulo Dybala in 2019/20.
  • Nicolas Gonzalez is closing in on 100 appearances in Serie A, currently sitting on 99, 13 of which were with the Bianconeri.
  • Dusan Vlahovic made his Serie A debut against Inter Milan on 25 September 2018; against the Nerazzurri, he has scored twice in the last three meetings.

Opposition Focus

  • Only Yann Sommer (11), Alex Meret (nine) and Mike Maignan (nine) have kept more clea sheets than Michele Di Gregorio (eight) in this Serie A season.
  • The players with the highest average number of touches per 90 minutes in the league this season face off in this match: Alessandro Bastoni (95.4), Pierre Kalulu (95.4), Hakan Calhanoglu (95.0) and Manuel Locatelli (87.5) - min. 15 appearances.
  • Prior to the first leg, the only previous meeting between Marcus and Khephren Thuram in all competitions with teams in Europe's top five leagues was on 29 January 2019 in Guingamp-Monaco in the Coupe de la Ligue, in which the Nerazzurri striker also scored. Marcus has scored 13 league goals this season, as many as in both the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons with Borussia Monchengladbach, equalling his highest season total to date.
  • Lautaro Martínez, who has scored nine goals in this league, could become the first foreign player in Inter's history to go into double figures in goals in six different Serie A seasons, currently level on five with Stefano Nyers and Mauro Icardi.
  • Taking the field against Fiorentina 79 days after his previous appearance in Serie A, Francesco Acerbi is one match away from making 100 appearances across all competitions in an Inter shirt.
