Claudio Ranieri spoke well of Roma striker Eldor Shomurodov.
For weeks, the Uzbek striker had been linked with an exit from the capital.
Despite recent news suggesting an imminent move to Venezia, Shomurodov was utilized in the second half of today’s 2-1 win over Udinese.
The striker helped lead Roma’s comeback in the second half.
In his post-match presser, Ranieri said, “I know Shomurodov, I had him in Cagliari, today he did a good job and played behind enemy lines.”
“Will he stay? If there is an opportunity to improve I will follow the club, but Eldor is a serious professional, I am happy with him.”
“He’s the kind of player that I have a good relationship with.”
