Sky Germany reports that RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Seško has a release clause in his contract that is performance based.

Originally, it was reported that there was no clause in Seško’s contract, which he extended last summer, and there was instead a gentleman’s agreement around the fee he could leave for in the summer. However, that is no longer the case.

Seško’s has a performance related clause that is valid this summer. The clause can change due to playing time, goals and assists and is currently valued at €70m. In the best case scenario, the clause will rise to €80m.

The 21-year-old wants to leave Leipzig in the summer and will not be short of suitors. Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal are all linked to the Slovenian.

Seško has struggled this season, as has Leipzig, in 34 games he has 17 goals and five assists but continues to be inconsistent in front of goal and lacks composure when it comes to easier chances. There is an argument to be made that the Slovenian is still not ready for a move to a big club.
