Real Madrid, the reigning La Liga champions, are engaged in a tough battle with FC Barcelona for the La Liga title. They have already qualified for the final of the Copa Del Rey and are also in the quarterfinal of the UEFA Champions League. So, Los Blancos are still in contention to win their first treble. However, the club do need to sort out some of the major chinks in their squad in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Real Madrid are Ready to Spend €100 Million for Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez

Real Madrid have conceded easy goals this season and has been sloppy at the back. David Alaba has struggled with injury problems and is also past 30. Moreover, Eder Militao has also struggled with injury, and Antonio Rudiger is also at the wrong end of his 30’s. So, the club do need to sign a world-class centre-back, given the sheer amount of games that Real Madrid play every season.

Fichajes has reported that Carlo Ancelotti’s side want to sign Dean Huijsen and also Milos Kerkez this summer. Both of these players play for Bournemouth and are very important to the team. The Spanish giants also want a replacement for the underperforming Ferland Mendy, and hence they are targeting Kerkez. They are ready to pay €100 million to sign the duo.

Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez are two young stars who could transform Real Madrid’s defense. Huijsen, a 19-year-old center-back, brings towering height, two-footed skill, and composure on the ball—perfect for building from the back. His aerial prowess and maturity belie his age, making him a potential long-term anchor. Kerkez, a 21-year-old left back, offers pace, technical flair, and attacking flair down the flank, filling a gap left by aging stars. Together, they would inject youth and dynamism into Real Madrid’s backline, possessing experience with fresh talent to keep the club dominant for years to come.

Will Los Blancos get the advantage?

The centre-back has also scored two goals in the 23 matches that he has been part of in the Premier League so far this season. Milos Kerkez has scored 2 goals in 29 matches so far in the Premier League 2024/2025 season. Real Madrid also face competition from Liverpool for the services of the duo. However, the Spanish giants are undoubtedly the greatest club in the world and playing for them is definitely the dream of most of the players. So, Ancelotti’s side will definitely get the edge over Liverpool.
