Real Madrid staff member accuses players of ‘arrogance’ after Alavés clash | OneFootball

An anonymous member of the backroom staff at La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Wednesday taken aim at the club’s stars.

This comes owing to developments in Real’s latest outing, late last night.

Los Blancos are of course fresh off making it five successive victories across all competitions, at the expense of Deportivo Alavés.

En route to as much, however, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops flirted with disaster late on.

After racing out to a three-goal lead courtesy of finishes on the part of all of Lucas Vázquez, Kylian Mbappé and Rodrygo, the Spanish champions appeared to be cruising towards another three points.

But this was only until a momentary lapse in concentration almost cost Real dear, Alavés having pulled two goals back in the space of 120 seconds late on.

In the end, the capital giants managed to hold on, but the damage, in the eyes of some at least, had evidently already been done.

Speaking to Blancos insider Mario Cortegana of The Athletic this morning, an unnamed ‘dressing room source’ at the Santiago Bernabéu made clear his frustration with Carlo Ancelotti’s squad:

“The team has sinned in their arrogance,“ he began. “It was a huge shame.”
