Real Madrid star to return to starting XI to face Barcelona | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is expected to be restored to starting duties in the club’s upcoming showdown with Barcelona.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards Dani Ceballos as the player in question.

Former Arsenal man Ceballos has for his part spent the last couple of weeks working his way back towards full fitness.

Following a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, the Spaniard has since played his part in each of Real Madrid’s last three fixtures.

The most recent came in midweek, when Ceballos was introduced off the bench late on against Getafe.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the 28-year-old looks set to be depended upon from the off in tonight’s Copa del Rey finale.

As per a report from Marca:

‘Ceballos is part of the group of nine players who appear certain to start at La Cartuja.’

Should this prove to be the case, it will mark Ceballos’ first-ever start in a cup final in the colours of Real Madrid.
